Intuitive and well presented
Anthony Alicea’s, JS The Weird Parts, is a terrific, deep-dive under the hood into how JS operates and why it works the way it does. Alicea provides some wonderful short examples to coincide with the theory. New programmers may need to take a basic JS syntax course before Alicea’s course to better understand and appreciate the topics he covers. Alicea speaks clearly and his course is well paced. I will likely return to this course throughout my learning, and eventual career as a programmer, to refresh and review my JS understanding.
Shows under the hood how things are connected and interact so that you know why JavaScript is behaving the way it does. Also he does a good job of showing how powerful some of the JavaScript features can be.
This is one of the best courses I’ve ever taken. It’s author, Anthony Alicea, also made a tutorial on Angular, which was so easy to understand that I immediately dove into this JS tutorial just to absorb more of this teaching style. Very clear, very interesting material. 10/10 would recommend.
Very high quality production and thorough explanation of core JavaScript concepts…the content is good for beginners and intermediate level scripters.
Great! Perfect explanation of what is happening, this is crucial to learning a language instead of copy and pasting examples to make things work.
So far, really great. Anthony Alicea goes over some very important concepts early on that are normally glossed over when learning Javascript. I’ve already gained a lot from this course!
I have been using JavaScript for a few yeas now and have always felt that I needed to go back and really understand the core concepts and structure. This course is perfect for me, I am only 30% complete and I have had so many ‘Ah ha!’ moments already.
Everything is explained really well without dwelling and overcomplicating the point. I would really recommend this course to anybody, in fact this teacher, I would watch anything he has created because I feel that none of it would be a waste of time and I would be a better developer because of it.
Great course! went into details that most tutorials or classes don’t cover. we need more courses like this for other languages.
It is by far the best and insightful course on JS I’ve seen: I do agree that understanding makes for a beter, more resourceful developer.
