Best Course Online Review
The online course ‘User Experience Design Fundamentals’ from Udemy is aimed at web designers or site owners. It will help you improve the usability of your website(s) to increase customer satisfaction and conversion rates. It provides an explanation of what UX is and isn’t and goes on to give a comprehensive overview of all the key aspects of User Experience. The only slight criticism being that some of the lectures are relatively long (20 mins) for an online course – so have your coffee at the ready! The course will show you that there’s more to User Experience than meets the eye, revealing a number of practical insights. If you’re working as part of a web development team you are often required to focus on a very limited area (Design / Writing / Development). This course takes a step back and allows you to get some perspective on how each of these roles fit together and complement each other for a highly successful outcome. The course is well researched and backed by UX theory. It also references some useful external resources, quotes and UX software so students can build on the User Experience knowledge gained in the course.
By the end of the course, you should be able to design and implement the User Experience strategy for your own websites using best practices and avoiding common mistakes.
The Tutor, Joe Natoli is an experienced UX designer, having worked for 25 years in the UX & UI industry on Apps, Sites & Software. Joe delivers the lessons in a confident and clear manner.

A lot of people claim UX in their title but can’t define it.
It was so nice to hear someone talk about the process of UX design. This video gave me what I feel I need to teach people how to work with me in a way that they will understand. It was a great refresher and even taught me some new methods.

Outstanding Value & Presentation
This course has a huge number of takeaways resources and added educational benefits. Whatever level of experience you currently hold as a web designer or developer this course unlocks and comprehensively answers the all-important questions: How can my website(s) or my client’s website(s) gain more exposure get more traffic and/or make more money?
This course is essential and you should care about UXD if you really want to show off your results!

A very Meaty course full on content!!!
If you haven’t gotten much exposure to I.T. Design this is a great course to start with.
Its got only one problem. In the lectures that exceed 15-20 minutes it is easy to let your attention lapse. Since it looks like at least in some of these longer videos that there were separate segments edited together I would encourage the author(s) to de-compose all long videos into shorter ones.

User Experience Design Fundamentals
If you are a website designer or want-to-be a designer please take this course. Those of us that use your sites will be eternally grateful.
The knowledge gained is pennies on the dollar! I highly recommend… Take this course!!!

Good content average execution
The content is good and very informative. However you question the UX insights when 50% of the screen is the same throughout the course. What’s the point with that?!? And also visuals are supposed to be very important. Where’s the images and conceptualization of this course. I would not recommend buying this course due to the favt thats it’s facts facts and facts for 40h hours with little understanding to the context of makingit happen practically.

Good Course – Good Insights
Very good to excellent overview of user experience design. A little long winded in spots; I felt some discussion could have been more concise and less repetitive. But all relevant topics seem to be covered. Also some illustrative diagrams were a little sketchy to me; I felt they could have been graphically clearer on the screen.Very good overview of resources ( software etc.) at course end.

This course speaks truths for the vast nature of the field
As stated in the course title this is Fundamentals.
Well it is a lot of content and it is undoubtedly a course which needs revisiting to get the best out of the content.
People who start the course with an idea of User Experience are sure to be enlightened and pick up on a few things. I had some insight into web layout and page layout this course has helped clear out a way forward to improve both.
In short I highly recommend this course. It is well worth the time investment.

Most annoying course ever.
I unfortunately purchased two courses from LearnToProgram.TV at the same time. I’ll never buy anymore unless I preview them and find they’ve changed.
The problem is the intro/outro on EVERY VIDEO. You hear the overly loud bass heavy music ONE HUNDRED EIGHTEEN TIMES assuming you don’t restart a lecture. It’s extremely annoying in a home environment and would be really horrible if you were in an office.
The course itself was well taught and extremely valuable. The information is dry and repetitive. The instructor however does a good job with it.

I loved this course!
Joe Natoli offers an excellent explanation on the UX Design process and user experience. My wishes for this course would be to offer downloadable worksheets in the exercise labs. Also I would have loved to see an entire section on job hunting as well as how to put your UX design portfolio together. Fantastic job Joe!

A little annoying
***UPDATE****
As the course progresses Joe seems to get more in to his stride and the content becomes much more flowing. The name dropping is reduced to an appropriate level as are the traits of his presentation style that i found so uncomfortable in the first few sections of the course.
As a result ive upped my rating to a 4/5.
***ORIGINALREVEIW***
From having just listened to the first 1 .5 lectures Im really wondering if I can manage the to go any further. Whilst the content is to a fair level the presenter of the course is very 'American' and comes across as somewhat smug to myself and Im sure this will be considered to be true by many non Americans.
There also seems to be far too much name dropping as if this somehow validates the course content and the presenters credentials to teach this course.
Whilst I appreciate that these are just my views and that many listeners wont have the same aversion to the presenters manner and style it is non the less my take on the course.
When comparing the lectures of section 1 to a very well know free regular podcast I feel this fails in comparison. Especially since the podcast in question actually gets industry experts on board rather than just referencing select names.
Sorry.

Awesome UXD course
I was quite confused about UXD before taking this course. The step by step approach of this course really helped me understand the fundamentals of UXD. If you want to understand UXD this is the first course you should take.

Incredible Coverage of User Experience Design!
This is one of the most in-depth courses I’ve taken on Udemy. I was initially overwhelmed due to the large amount of information to absorb in the beginning sections. After digesting it a bit I realized the importance and necessity of knowing about and understanding each Element of User Experience and how each element is essential to the overall quality and success of your site or app. This is thorough high level training that you will only get from someone that has years of experience in design fundamentals. It was a real eye opener for me. I found that my knowledge of user experience design didn’t even scratch the surface of what’s included in this course. User Experience Design Fundamentals takes you DEEP inside the elements of User Experience describes and defines each element in great detail then shows how the elements work together. Each element is clearly covered in separate modules. I guarantee you will never look at user experience design the same after taking this course. I highly recommend it to anyone before they begin a web or app project. It’s crucial to the success of your project that you build the foundation with these essential elements in place. Thank you for this excellent thorough course!

A Very Comprehensive View of UXD
This course made me realize just how narrow my understanding of UXD truly was.
Starting with the very first lecture I learned what UXD really is and how it impacts the end user. Joe Natoli delivers a clear comprehensive view of UXD using a step-by-step approach that will enable me to use the information to develop a solid strategy built on good practices while avoiding unnecessary pitfalls.
Overall I’d say this course is excellent!

Fantastic course – The information is top notch!
I decided to take this course because I’m new to the web development field. When all is said and done I’m glad I took this course. The illustration in the introduction is spot on. As professionals we all work in within our specialty in some field that’s much broader than our own work. When I started to study ‘Web Graphic Design’ I had no idea how varied the industry is. In my field there are UI designers front end web developers project managers copy specialists artists back end developers and so on. Each with his/her own limited view point within a project. That’s very similar to the illustration about the blind men and the elephant. Here is my list of good and bad observations:
Good:
Instructor does a great job of narrating and guiding the learner.
The information in this course is perfect for anyone creating a product that will be used by end users not just in technology but in all fields.
This is definitely one of those resources I’ll keep referring back to this course throughout my career.
The production presentation and material in this course is very high quality.
Relevant quotes from professionals in the UXD field.
Very clear about explaining the differences between design disciplines and what UXD (User experience Design) is and isn’t.
Bad:
It would be nice if the longer lectures were broken down into smaller segments.
It’s like watching a class lecture. Unless you’re taking notes it’s hard to focus for long periods of time.
As you can see my list of complaints is short. I really like the course and I’d recommend it to anyone it’s well worth the expense.

Excellent Resource for UXD
UXD/UED is an integral part of understanding user prospective. Being a BA I always found this as one of the daunting task. I am in the beginning of this course and I loved it! I was looking for similar resources since long time. Joe is an excellent tutor who understands his wide verity audience.
